Last summer I built an ecosystem pond with a waterfall and stream in my backyard. The project was partially inspired by AQUASCAPE, although I had some experience with building a pond and waterfall before at my previous house. These days the new pond is going through the start of its first winter and I think it's very interesting to see how the plants, fish and other animals react to the changing seasons. In the region where I live (Belgium) it's not freezing very often, but if it does, spectacular ice formations will form on the waterfalls...
