I finally found an amazing microphone to replace my Rode Videomic Pro. the Aputure V-Mic D2 has amazing sound and enough output to turn the noisy Canon 70d preamp all the way down. The Aputure V-Mic D2 has its own adjustable preamp with a pre-calibration feature so that you can match your cameras recording levels up the microphone output levels. this microphone is not as bassy as the Rode Videomic Pro nor is it as tinny as the Takstar SGC-598. For me the Aputure V-mic D2 is perfect for my voice and ears lol
