Oh wow. I'm a terrible person. I'm currently really busy with IRL stuff and yet I decide to participate in this April Fool's thingy, and on top of that make it a pretty dodgy mashup just to force my love for Shooting Stars meme. :D Today's been a productive day.
The song is Moving On by TwentyTen. Check it out here: youtube.com/watch?v=hFQimHq7Oik . I wasn't around back in the day when TwentyTen was still a thing but I know it was a pretty big deal. Tried some mashups with Shooting Stars and this is the only one that kinda fits so far. :/ As for the vocals...I had to isolate them myself since I couldn't find the stems. Otherwise it wouldn't have that high-pitched tingling sound and with more bass.
(There should be a Shooting Star meme coming out soon. I'm extremely late for the meme thanks to uni life but I must finish it or I'll have nothing to post for an even longer while.)

So...it was Trixie Day over at EqD two days ago and I wanted to do something for it since I never really get to do anything for the other pony days theyve had. Still missed the dateline since I was really tired over the weekend. ;-;

Again I want to emphasise that this is a dodgy recording recorded at a very low resolution. There will a better one uploaded sometime soon elsewhere. I suggest looking out for that one because I heard its supposed to sound way better or something like that. This one was ripped from Project SEAPonyCons livestream, which unfortunately was only set up after the intermission so the first half isnt available to most people (for now).
Another clarification! This not to be confused with another project which is also being made in tribute to MelodicPony. They are planning to get professional orchestral musicians to record one of MelodicPonys songs in his homeland.
