The Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office has suspended its contract with Flock Safety’s automated license plate reader cameras after Sheriff Robby Richardson said discrepancies in the company’s data and concerns about how long information was stored caused him to lose confidence in the system.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Office has stopped using its ALPR system and is terminating its contract with Flock. This comes after previously described Flock cameras as a tool that made the community safer.
