The following video is a PSA (Public Service Announcement) developed by students in the Applied Science Profession I course (APSC-101-02) during the fall semester of 2012 at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The video project required students to research a science-related topic in which there is an important need to increase public awareness or appreciation of the topic. It involved surveying possible topics, researching them, choosing a statement of purpose, assembling a script or story board, and creating a video to be placed onto YouTube. The students were responsible for the content and accuracy of the video along with providing proper citations for the sources of information.
