Today, Apple announced a whole self-service repair program where over 200 parts for iPhone 12 and 13 would be available for service centers, and for consumers...
Now I'll be honest working inside an iPhone is kind of easy. It's a lot of snap-on Lego-style connectors and as long as you're careful, you can uninstall and install a good amount of parts. and it's a great step forward from apple towards right to repair, and a great tool for customers.
Moving on we've got Nvidia in the news the company recently just announced DLSS 2.3. that's their latest version of the anti-aliasing slash AI upscaling software. With DLSS 2.3, they fixed a lot of issues that previous dlss versions had. One of them was motion vectoring causing some shadowing or ghosting behind trailing objects, Or for example, the AI going bonkerz on specific objects. Its not to say that all the bugs are gone, you can still clearly see flicker here, but its definitely better.

![The RTX 4060 Tis Performance Target is BAD!
Lets get started with Nvidia. So the lineup of their new generation of GPUs is slowly making its way out. We got the 4090 and 80 last year, and a couple of weeks ago, we got the RTX 4070 ti. And so far, we got nothing under 800$. This is mind boggling given that every past generation of GPU’s wether it is from Nvidia OR AMD, Launched with a top-tier GPU at or under 700$.
But yeah, they’re way more expensive and theres nothing new in the more reasonable price ranges.
Well, some leaks are popping up about future GPU launches. Theres the 4070, which supposedly would come with 5 888 Cuda cores. a decrease of about 25% compared to the 4070 ti. We dont know anything really about the price point for this one. But I would bet 600 to 650$.
And further down the stack, there would be the RTX 4060 ti. Right now, it is rumored to feature 26% fewer Cuda cores than the 4070, so 4352. And pricing-wise, we heard that it would be sub 500$, but since all the GPU prices seem to go up, its likely going to be something like 449, or 479.
Side note here, I really hope that the Cuda core count doesnt scale linearly for performance. Because those are some big drops from tier to tier.
Anyways, a little under 500$...so why am I talking about this? A reputable leaker on Twitter called Kopite7kimi said that the 4060 ti has a performance target of an RTX 3070. A card that is on average just 12 to 13 ish percent faster than the 3060 ti. Not only that, but the gap gets even smaller if we look at the 3060 ti with GDDR6X memory, which in itself is about 4 to 6% faster than the OG 3060 ti. So if the performance target for the 4060 ti really is a stock RTX 3070, then we’re only seeing a jump in performance of about 5 to 10%ish gen over gen? Like what?
Plus you’re going to pay more money for it than the launch price of the 3060 ti? Man, if that’s really the case, and only time will tell, then Nvidia is really down bad to sell their remaining inventory of RTX 3000 series. It seems like the RTX 4000 series is an even bigger mess than I thought it was before. What are your thoughts on this? Let me know down below!

![More Ryzen 5000X3D CPUs Coming SOON?!
Let’s get started with AMD, A couple of weeks ago, when the company finally unveiled the Zen 4 architecture during Computex 2022, Dr Lisa Su was very specific in her choice of words when it came to the current platform of their CPU’s. Specifically, the AM4 platform.
AM4 lived a really long life. I mean, I bought my 1700X with a B350 motherboard back in 2017. And I could technically upgrade to the latest and greatest CPU without any issues 5 years later. Seriously, according to the compatibility list, I could get a 5950X or a 5800X3D on this board, so Im golden. But now that the focus is switching to Zen 4 and the AM5 socket, what will happen to AM4?
Well, Dr Lisa Su was very clear. She said: AM4 isnt going anywhere and will continue to serve the PC gaming segment for the foreseeable future. And right after she said that we started hearing rumors after rumors of what this meant.
Well, Just recently, Leaker extraordinaire Greymon 55 tweeted this : Its been rumored in the last few days that there will be several new products for ZEN3D. Its true, and there will be further information next month. He also added : There will also be new low-end AM4 products in the future.
Honestly, there are no reasons why AMD wouldnt release newer versions of Zen 3D. We know that they have tested the 5900X with 3D V cache since well, they showed it to us back in 2021. It still had a great performance boost in gaming and you get the benefit of those 12 cores. Plus, with threadripper gone for gaming slash creator tasks, a 5950X3D would give us a threadripper like CPU. - Side note, for those of you who said threadripper was never a gaming CPU, It was at the start, I mean they even had a game mode up to the 2950X.
But yeah, To give longevity to the AM4 platform, 3D V Cache is the way to go. And on the other end of the spectrum, a 5600X3D could be a good chip although I wonder if the extra cache would give this one as much of a bump in performance as with the 5800X3d.
