Apple didn’t mention it during WWDC, but iOS 27 Developer Beta 1 introduces energy monitoring to Apple Home.
Compatible smart plugs and outlets that support energy reporting can now surface power usage data directly within the Home app, reducing the need to jump into manufacturer apps to see how much energy your devices are consuming.
While this is a relatively small addition, it could be an important foundation for future Apple Home automations and energy insights.
