I am a fan of the Great British Baking Show and have several cookbooks of Mary Berry's and Paul Hollywood's. But Galette's are French in origin and can be made with a variety of fillings. I have only made 2 now but they have been a big hit with family and friends. It is an easy dessert using my shortcut recipe great for a last-minute dessert or a quick dessert for dinner at home.

1 can of pie filling
1 refrigerated pie crust
1 beaten egg, 1 tablespoon honey, 2 tablespoons of apricot or peaches preserves thinned with a little water.
