An apple fritter bread is a type of sweet quick bread that’s inspired by the classic apple fritter donut. Instead of being fried like a fritter, it’s baked in a loaf pan. The bread itself is soft and cake-like, and it usually has:
1. Cinnamon-sugar apples layered through the batter (similar to apple pie filling).
2. A brown sugar–cinnamon swirl for extra flavor.
3. A sweet glaze drizzled over the top, mimicking the glaze on a fritter.
The result is a moist, tender loaf with chunks of juicy apples and a warm spiced flavor—like a cross between apple pie, coffee cake, and a glazed donut.
