In this video, I show parents, caregivers, and educators how to lead a fun, pressure-free apple exploration using sight, touch, smell, sound, and optional tasting. Compare different apple varieties, discover some apple nutrition, and help your food explorers describe what they notice—without requiring them to eat or like anything.
This video is designed for adults to facilitate at home, in the classroom, or in another educational setting. Pause as needed so your explorers can examine their apples and complete the free worksheet.

Remember: Food Explorers don’t have to like every food. Looking, smelling, touching, listening, learning, and tasting—if you choose—all count as food exploration!
Adults should prepare and cut all food, account for individual feeding needs, and follow applicable food-allergy and classroom food-safety policies.
