Day 3 of my Appalachian Trail section hike was a shorter day on trail. I started at Gooch Mountain shelter and hiked to Lance Creek campsite. I stopped there because any further and you are required to have a bear canister to camp until you reach Blood Mountain. Today I started hiking with my new found trail friends Preston and Becca.
