In a generation filled with fake loyalty, hidden agendas, and conditional relationships, true friendship has become rare. Many people smile with you in public but secretly compete with you. But God still raises covenant friends — people who strengthen your destiny instead of destroying it. True friendship is not built on convenience; it is built on love, sacrifice, truth, and loyalty. T.Y.N True friendship is not built on convenience; it is built on love, sacrifice, truth, and loyalty. That’s the friendship God approves. One of the greatest revelations in Scripture is that, Jesus calls believers His friends. The greatest friendship you can ever have is friendship with Christ. The union between God and His people all started and was consummated with Christ. This means, our union with Christ is the basis of our unity with God and with one another. As a Christian, choose Christ first, then Christ will choose your friends, or business associates.

Marry Christ first before Christ can choose your partner- husband/wife. This is a good road to a good life. No one can make it without others. Everything God created, requires connection. You are because I am. I am because you are. Remember, you are what you are today by virtue of the company you keep. This means, our life is a reflection of our relationship with others. If the relationship is parasitic, you would find yourself among people who would subtract and divide from your life. If the relationship is symbiotic - you would find yourself among people who would add to and multiply your life - so it takes the grace of God to know who to turn to as a friend, as a partner, as a companion. Ask your neighbor – “Are your friends adding to and multiplying to your life or are they subtracting from and dividing from your life?”

A true friendship is a relationship between two people, each depending on the other. I depend on you; you depend on me. It is a relationship based on the principle of giving and receiving. This means mutual respect/ love/trust/ honor. Many people want to be your friend only when it is convenient for them. Others would sit at your table when things are going well but would not stand by you when your situation takes a turn for the worse.
