Episode 25:
The Intergang and Bruno Mannheim return to Earth, but their actions are only a taste of what Darkseid has in store for Earth and Superman. Superman holds off swarms of Apokolips' demons with the help of officer, Dan Turpin. They struggle until they receive help from a New Genesis warrior, Orion. Orion is badly hurt, but recovers quickly at STAR Labs, where he explains Darkseid seeks to dominate Earth. Darkseid forces do in fact arrive, attacking an air force base, fought off by Superman, Orion and the SCU.
Episode 26:
Superman gets captured and tortured as the invasion of Earth begins. The people of Metropolis try to resist and fight back, even as Superman is paraded through the streets. With that as a morale boost and with the help of Turpin, Superman frees himself as a fleet of New Genesis ships arrive to stop Darkseid. Orion lets Darkseid know he would violate the peace treaty between New Genesis and Apokolips if he continues is aggression because the Highfather has placed Earth under his protection. Darkseid acquiesces, but out of spite vaporizes Dan Turpin, causing Superman to destroy an enemy tank in grief.
