Use your existing woodenware with Apimaye feeders systems and long-lasting bottom boards with pollen traps built-in.
As I swap out my old brood boxes, I plan to replace them with the propola surfaced hives by Premiere. Add a layer of longevity by getting them from Nature's Image Farm sold as Endura Hives. The Propola/Endura treatment combination are very appealing to the bees as you'll see in this video.

What do I think? Well, I've voted with my money! These are well designed and will work well for beekeeping here on the Northeastern United States. Two winters with Apimaye have demonstrated their durability and insulation benefits.
Propola hives are still under observation, but they seem to be encouraging the use of propolis inside the hive, and that's proven to have more benefits than are currently known.
