The Apate Ohangla Band played the Luo drums, Ohangla and the Orutu.

The songs they performed included:

🔹“Were Ogoyo Dhako”- this song is about a greedy man, his wife served him fish and he beat her. The song passes on the lesson to discourage them from doing this.

🔹“Anindo mwalo” - I slept at my grandmothers place
