sn0wsh00 | AOE2:DE - Stealth (custom scenario) @sn0wsh00 | Uploaded August 2021 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
My attempt at creating a stealth mission in Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition.
Creating this stealth mission was pretty tedious, given that I had to create object has target, patrol, countdown enable and countdown disable triggers for each patrolling guard (32 triggers for 8 guards). One annoying thing I discovered while creating this scenario was that timers don't reset when you re-enable them. In other words, if you have a 10 second timer that you disable with 6 seconds remaining and then you re-enable that timer, that timer will restart with 6 seconds remaining instead of 10.
This mission is taken from my custom campaign The Rise of General Posada:

Don't forget to check out the sequel:

And no, General Posada was not named after the character from The Book of Life. The original General Posada campaign was uploaded in 2011, while the Book of Life was released in 2014.
