Anzac station provides the first direct tram-train interchange on the Melbourne Metropolitan Rail Network, allowing convenient access to the busy St Kilda Road tram corridor with tram routes 3, 5, 6, 16, 58, 64, 67 & 72 running through this interchange.
Prior to Anzac station being built, this area was known as 'domain interchange' for tram users.
The station is close to the domain, Government House, Royal Botanic Gardens, War Memorial, Albert Park and the Observatory.
