The township of Cooktown, Far North Queensland, came together in a tribute to Australia’s servicemen and women on Anzac Day, with a special focus on the enduring relationship between the local community and our #AusAirForce No 35 Squadron.
Throughout their visit, No 35 Squadron conducted a static display of a C-27J Spartan aircraft at Cooktown aerodrome, supported by RSL Cooktown, and performed a ceremonial flypast over the local march on Anzac Day.
In the lead up to Anzac Day the Squadron also visited local schools, Endeavour Christian College and Cooktown State School to speak about the values of the ADF and the importance of community support for Defence families.
