Teardown, cleaning, repair, and testing of an antique Minneapolis Honeywell ionizer / ozone generator.
I'm unsure of the original purpose of this machine, whether it was originally intended to be a portable ozone generator, or if it possibly was a tool for salesmen to demonstrate the operation of an electronic air filter system. The way that it is enclosed, along with the light bulbs and the viewing window lead me more in the direction that it was for demonstrations of some sort.
It certainly functions as an ozone generator, and should also function as an electrostatic air filter, however the volume of air that flows through it hardly makes it seem viable as a filter.
