“Antigone in Savannah” was a collaboration with our friends at Theater of War Productions, and the Center for Jubilee, Reconciliation, and Healing.
The beautiful city of Savannah, GA, is a place through which we can see and more deeply understand some of the human questions so alive at the heart of the past and the present. These questions are at the center of how we in the United States would shape our social and institutional life as a country. They’re also questions that are deeply resonant for us all, in every context and every time.
In the company of those gathered both in Savannah, GA, and with us online, we allowed the timeless resonance of ancient Greek texts to help us consider ourselves anew in history. Meet some of the people and places at the heart of this production in this behind-the-scenes footage.
