Acceptance of the heliocentric model by society at large wasn't automatically accepted and certainly not immediately upon it being presented to the general public. Faulkner is clearly in error when he states the flat earth model wasn't presented until the mid-1900s. 1700 BC Israelite mariner exploration discussed.
