I fly the 5" chord light version and the 7" chord heavy version line-of-sight at the local park. The light version is stable yet capable of loops and rolls. The heavy version flies more determined lines like a scale aircraft.
The Ansley PD does not take any special skill to fly but it's unusual planform does take a little getting used to for orientation purposes. Hand launching with an adequate powerplant gives a very brisk climb and landings are typically slow. This design has no rudder and it does slip through turns though it does not appreciably affect the overall flight. I do not recommend flying this plane with elevon differential as this can cause some unusual pitching up behavior in turns. A symmetrical elevon deflection for roll works better. The plane will slow to a very low airspeed and 'mushes' to a stall. In certain configurations it can be stall landed nearly vertically.
