Observation Location: 32.817098, -117.238619
goo.gl/maps/2bAi9KwMtrFEhQsF6
Elevation: Approximately 450 ft above sea level

Target: North Coronado Island (Mx) peak 32.440701, -117.297880
goo.gl/maps/drzFXpstRKkfWJXCA
Summit Elevation: Approximately 450 ft above sea level

Observer & Target are nearly the same elevation. If earth surface is flat, the summit should align with a horizontally level (0 degree inclination/declination).

Distance: Approximately 26.2 miles
Observation: apparent -0.17 degree drop from horizontal of the co-equal height island summit based on the scope reticle. Degree of error +/- 0.01 degree.

Rough conclusion: for this observation, the evidence support convexity, and is much closer to a globe prediction than a flat prediction.

This observation was captured using an iPhone 13 Pro using Filmic Pro, and shot through the scope of a CST/Berger transit level. Footage was edited on the iPhone using InShot and uploaded to YouTube using their mobile app. Musical score replaced windblown camera mic audio, from YouTube's Audio Library.
