Come along for Day 2 of D23 in Anaheim, California! The Disney adventure continues with another full day taking in everything D23 has to offer, from exploring the convention and checking out the exhibits to seeing what surprises Disney has in store. Then it’s back to the Honda Center for another huge D23 presentation! There’s nothing quite like being inside the arena with thousands of Disney fans as announcements are made, special guests take the stage, and some unforgettable moments unfold right in front of us. It’s another packed day celebrating Disney, the parks, movies, entertainment, and everything that makes D23 such a unique experience. Thanks for coming along for Day 2 — Enjoy!

Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom — Carousel of Progress: Disney revealed a substantial overhaul. Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston will become the new voices of Sarah and John, and the scenes will move through entirely new eras: the 1960s, Halloween 1985, New Year’s Eve 1999, and a possible future. Walt Disney will appear via Audio-Animatronics in a new opening moment. The refreshed attraction is scheduled for late spring 2027.
Magic Kingdom — Piston Peak National Park / Cars: Disney finally named both attractions. Cars Ridge Run Rally is the major off-road racing attraction, using a new ride system in which the vehicles physically respond to the terrain. The course climbs Piston Peak, crosses snow, camelback hills and a geyser field before racing to the finish. The second attraction is Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along, featuring a huge school-bus-sized Miss Fritter Audio-Animatronic. Piston Peak is being incorporated into the larger Frontierland story and is part of the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history.
Magic Kingdom — Villains Land: Disney provided substantial new details about the land beyond Big Thunder Mountain. It will have two major attractions, plus dining and shopping. One of the attractions is a Maleficent-focused coaster through a dark briar environment, while another centers on the Evil Queen/Magic Mirror mythology. Disney describes this as one of Imagineering’s most ambitious projects.
EPCOT — Spaceship Earth: Disney confirmed its first major update in nearly 20 years. Instead of concentrating specifically on the history of human communication, the new version will broaden its theme to human connection, carrying the story into the internet age and beyond.
EPCOT — Journey Into Imagination: This was arguably the night’s biggest surprise. Disney announced a complete reimagining of Journey Into Imagination, with Figment remaining and Dreamfinder officially returning. Disney has not yet revealed the full attraction design or opening date.
Animal Kingdom — Tropical Americas: Disney revealed the official title of the Indiana Jones attraction: Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. It will have an original storyline involving an ancient Maya temple, and Disney confirmed Harrison Ford is the model for the Indiana Jones Audio-Animatronic—the first Disney attraction to use Ford’s likeness as Indy. Imagineers are consulting archaeologists, anthropologists and Maya experts on the attraction.
The Encanto attraction received its official name: Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto. Guests are invited into Casita to celebrate Antonio’s gift of communicating with animals. Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow and Diane Guerrero are returning as Mirabel, Luisa and Isabela, and the ride will explore rooms and portions of Casita that weren’t seen in the movie.
Animal Kingdom — Expedition Everest: One of the biggest crowd-pleasers was Disney confirming that the Yeti Audio-Animatronic will be brought back to life inside Expedition Everest. Disney specifically highlighted this as one of the night’s major announcements.
Hollywood Studios — Monstropolis: Disney revealed considerably more about the Monsters, Inc. land. Its story revolves around H.U.M.A.N. Day — “Humans Understanding Monsters Are Nice”—the first time humans are officially welcomed into

Disney California Adventure — Coco: Disney revealed the storyline for the first Coco attraction ever built at a Disney park. The story takes place one year after the original movie. Guests enter through a “casa museo” dedicated to Héctor Rivera and then board a boat ride with Miguel through his memories of the Land of the Dead. Miguel, Dante, Héctor and others will appear. There will be no height requirement, and Disney is drawing inspiration from Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, including advanced Audio-Animatronics.
