"Concrete Trees” is a preview from Annabelle Chairlegs — the Austin-based project of singer-songwriter Lindsey Mackin — whose forthcoming album Waking Up was produced by Ty Segall in Topanga, CA. Known for her vivid mix of fuzz-laden guitars, surreal imagery, and powerful, grungy vocal delivery, Mackin’s new work digs into more mechanical textures while keeping her instinct for melodies that linger.
Waking Up follows two self-released albums and marks her first release via TODO, arriving January 30. The LP continues the evolution heard across her recent singles, including “Concrete Trees,” “Ice Cream On The Beach,” and “Heavy Sleeper,” all of which have drawn praise from Brooklyn Vegan, KUTX, FEMMUSIC, Mystic Sons, and more.
The vinyl edition of the album will feature two bonus tracks — “I Feel So Mad” and “Beef Witted.”
