It was 2015 at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City late at night. Most of the conference seemed to have gone to bed, but in a quiet corner of the Sheraton lobby, there was a lamp as the only light source and two comfy chairs. I sat in one and Anna Tivel sat in the other. I used my camera mounted microphone and recorded this unforgettable performance. The song is Letter To A Mountain and it appears on Anna's cd Before Machines. In the almost 8 years I have been recording In The Moment videos I have captured some amazingly real performances. This was one of the best. I am such a lucky guy to be doing exactly what I want.
