Anna Conkling (BA Journalism and Design '21) is a war correspondant covering Ukraine. Anna attributes a part of her career journey to supportive professors who encouaged her to seek out connections with real people as well as the experiences those professors brought to the classroom from their own journalism careers. She hopes to use her degree to shape the future of journalism and ensure that everyone she encounters feels heard.
