Very eerie sounding siren activations and in the middle of the night, also got hit by a brief little tornado on the west side, also a parked van was reported flipped and moved around in a parking lot in Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor set their sirens of last night twice back to back 2x Full Alerts, the county system only activated once but they run for a full 5min alert cycle.
This also should teach a thing or two to the city that decommissioning the siren system is NOT a good idea, we aren't even close to the prime summer storm months and stuff is already kicking off like this. I bet they will second think about that idea lol
*UPDATE 4/15/26 12:40PM(est)*
Confirmed tornado damage downtown Ann Arbor and Ann Arbor Veterans Memorial Park, major building damage to the ice rank there and major tree and roof damage downtown some laying on houses and dozens without power due to numerous snapped power poles. Tree reported to have fallen thru a house near Arbor Woods on Geddes, there was also a sighting of a funnel near the Ann Arbor-Saline Rd Meijer. also I'm aware "sighting" is misspelled in the video as "siting"
*UPDATE 4/16/25 8:13AM(est)*
a confirmed EF1 rated Tornado ripped through the West parts of Ann Arbor and directed hit the Ann Arbor Vets Memorial Park destroying a wall of an ice rank , snapping huge flood light poles and ripped trees down.
