As an archaeology student at the University of Michigan, Sue Wineberg wrote a book that guides readers through the architectural history of hundreds of Ann Arbor buildings.

Now, she fears university development around town will bury the history she treasures. Her passion for preservation has pitted her against the University of Michigan as it has demolished about 43 acres of Ann Arbor in the last 20 years.
