Ankeny Centennial, which finished last season 5-5, opens the season at home Friday against Southeast Polk.
Longtime co-coaches and father-son duo Jerry and Ryan Pezzetti have been around long enough to know almost every game in the CIML is a battle.
"Central Iowa football, as we all know, is very difficult from week to week, and we know, with our schedule, it's gonna be a rough haul for us," Ryan Pezzetti said. "But staying healthy is the key, and at the end of the day, we want to be there in the end."
