Ikoku Nikki aired in the Winter season of 2026 and has little odds of being topped for anime of the year (unlike how I topped Texas at 4:20 or so in this video), and so I'm going ahead and calling it now: this is AOTY.
I wrote this video back in the Spring season when I finished the show, and then sat on it for like 4 months because I had intended on fully editing it originally; but I gave up out of the pure fear of facing another contentID strike. (After hundreds that I've dealt with in my 15 year youtube career, I have no stamina left for it).
I mentioned the WAMMBS show on @MZshaidu , which is the best place to hear me talk about anime right now, since I cover the first 3 episodes along with my brother Shade and my husband Bird every week over there.
I also shouted out my vlogging channel @TrixieTTS and the podcast with my discord server (which hasn't posted in a while as of this writing) @GoldenButterflies-Podcast -- but this was recorded so long ago that I have a million other channels now, too, findable here: https://linktr.ee/goldenwitch
