Gillian's Wonderland Pier is an amusement park located on the boardwalk of Ocean City, New Jersey. Rocky and the Railroad Ramblers (A.K.A. "The Man & Dog Show") is an animatronic band located on the top floor of the main building, adjacent to the railroad station. For $1, they will spring to life perform one of seven songs for you.
I achieved higher quality audio by simply placing my iPhone right next to the show's speaker and recording a voice memo. I was unable to obtain the raw audio.
Fun Facts:
-From left to right, the characters' names are: Bubba, Rocky, Henrietta Hatpin, Hank, and Antonio.
-2022 is this show's 30th anniversary, meaning these animatronics have been performing at Gillians since 1992.
--To commemorate this, a new wooden sign was added to replace the old paper one, and a new poster depicting original artwork of the characters was added to the fence. Also, Antonio received a new costume that resembles a toy soldier. The sign was removed in 2023.
-However, these animatronics are closer to 50 years old. They are actually retrofits of some of the very oldest figures from 1980's Chuck E. Cheese's! From left to right, the Chuck E. Cheese characters these animatronics initially gave life to are as follows: The King, Mr. Munch, Helen Henny, Jasper T. Jowls, and Pasqually P. Pieplate.
--Coincidentally, This show is located on top of Gillian's pizzeria.
