God I love doing these animation reels, they're incredibly fun to edit
This year I focused on drawing humans and experimented with my style quite a bit, that’s why it looks wonky haha but at least I’m comfortable with drawing them now! I wish I did more OC content, but honestly I don’t really feel that connected to them anymore :’D I will most likely redesign and rewrite most of them, and I still have a shit ton of designs laying around, so OC content should be coming again, some day?? I’m so sorry lmao

plus a perfect oppurtunity to introduce one of my new ocs!! She doesnt have a name yet, but shes some sort of demigod that punishes criminals basically (the other characters are just background guys)
I originally planned to make the God animation meme with her, but the deadlines for those animation contests are pretty unreasonable imo I didnt want to burn myself out again
About the actual part, Im quite happy with it! the compositing was quite painful and I had to go to Blender to redo a whole part cuz Toonboom wouldnt cooperate with my plans
(speaking of Blender Ive been learning how to sculpt characters in it and its so much fun, thats also the main reason why uploads have been so sparse lately)

I could put my endless thoughts about this franchise here, but Ill just say its great. Kid me got traumatized by the Waterwraith and Pikmin 1s bad ending, fun times
If youre looking into getting into the series yourself, Id recommend starting with either Pikmin 3 or 4. 1 has shitty controls and Pikmin AI and 2 is pretty difficult to start with. 3 and 4 explain the mechanics pretty well, though 4 is painfully handholdy (I want to strangle Collin)

It took me a while to figure out what to do for my part because this series has so many cool scenes and characters… so I just went with the Desperate Revival arc. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit in Shinichi’s and Ran’s date at the end D: although that’s probably for the best since that scene makes me cry every time I see it
I’m really happy with how this turned out though! I got to practice different lighting conditions and animate stuff I never did before. This series and its characters mean a lot to me and I hope I did it justice ^^
