Backstory explanation thing for those too lazy to click links:

[Cream was born out of an arranged marriage between Cloycoat Cake and Vanilla Short, and was raised by Cloycoat, her mother, as the heir of the Cake House’s fortune. Cloycoat was very strict and uncaring of the emotional aspects of raising her daughter, and only used her as an accessory to keep up appearances.

When she was little, Cream was not allowed much into the outside world, and was tutored privately and at home, which stunted her social skills and caused others to bully her whenever she snuck outside for being naive. She never really listened to those lessons, anyway, and her mother bribed her way through the courses.

As she got older and thus bigger and more conspicuous, she found it harder and harder to sneak outside, and eventually stopped. Whenever she asked to go outside so she could play with the other cubs, her Mother would never allow it, saying it was “undignified” to associate with common folk, which resulted in quite a lot of arguments, fights, crying and then giving up.

One fateful night as she turned 18, she broke one of the mansion's windows and ran away from home. She used her wings to fly to the city, but due to her new status as a runaway, did not have anywhere to go. She ran into Frenzy, her old childhood bully from those rare moments she snuck outside, who promptly apologised for his behaviour as a child. Frenzy was still very arrogant, and his apology came off as more of an attempt to flirt, but she could tell that it was genuine.

Frenzy offered to let her live in his home, apparently understanding of her situation, and gave her a tour of the city. That tour was their first date, and they have been dating ever since.]
