Donkey Kong Country is a French cartoon released in the 90s (1996 to be exact) by Teletoon in Canada and Fox Kids in America, inspired by the 1994 Nintendo game of the same name and the Donkey Kong franchise at large. The cartoon follows "DK" along with Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong, Funky Kong and others on their adventures throughout Kongo Bongo as they try to stop the plans of the evil King K.Rool and his minions. Donkey Kong possesses the Crystal Coconut, which is capable of answering any question asked of it as well as other various abilities. The show is a serial comedy, and episode contains two songs. However, the show has drawn scorn and jokes due to its strange plots, poor localization, and songs that are sometimes hard to listen to.
