Solve 38 rebus puzzles using Animal Crossing characters and items, to name a celebrity, character (literary or otherwise), movie/TV show, or product. Most of the rebuses aren't very complicated, but they will test your knowledge of Animal Crossing villagers! If you'd like, keep track of your score and post it as a comment. Good luck!
Q: What is a rebus?
A: A rebus combines pictures and letters to represent words or syllables, typically as a puzzle to creatively "spell out" a phrase. (Or in this case, names of celebrities, characters, or products.) Wikipedia uses this example of a simple rebus: The word "been" might be depicted by a rebus showing an illustrated bumblebee next to a plus sign (+) and the letter "n". But they often work phonetically rather than using proper spelling, so it can be helpful to sound them out. Rebuses can be fun to solve, and I've always enjoyed them.
0:00 Intro/explanation
0:20 Name the celebrity.
4:16 Name the historical figure.
4:43 Name the product or service.
6:05 Name the movie.
6:30 Name the character.
7:24 Name the TV series.
8:32 Bonus question.
Note: Character names are based on the English-language names, so some of these may not apply to you if you're not playing the Engligh-language version of Animal Crossing. Sorry about that, but I hope you still find some enjoyment from the video regardless.
The stage shown on-screen is from "Quiz Show," the mini-game in Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival on Wii U. The countdown music is from Animal Crossing: City Folk, from the quiz show program.
I hope you enjoy this video! If so, please give it a like! I'd love to hear your thoughts about it below, too. And if you have any friends who may enjoy it, please share it with them. Thank you for watching, and Never Stop Crossing!
