“Sycamore Trees” is a jazz ballad written by David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti and performed by the legendary vocalist Jimmy Scott for the Season 2 finale of Twin Peaks. Scott was featured in the episode performing the song.
It was also featured on the soundtrack to the TV series' feature film prequel Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me despite being heard only briefly onscreen and as an instrumental.
Experimental outlet, Xiu Xiu notably covered the song along other Twin Peaks standards on their tribute album, "Xiu Xiu Plays the Music of Twin Peaks" (2016).
