Like the Alpha Lion in a pride of predators, Angel Haze is cocksure. She's smart and she walks it. She knows she can rap, and she knows she's better than her shine would suggest. At 21 she's lapping rappers her age, and twice her age, and of her sex, and of the opposite. When a mid-town recording studio fell through, Angel Haze and Yours Truly walked to the New York Public Library where the towering bronze doors reminded Angel of Jay & Ye's "Watch The Throne" album cover, and her trojan invasion of "No Church in the Wild."
