Hi guys! Finally I made it. Finished! I must admit it was quite a challenge to print this model of T-rex at 150% scale in PLA. Much harder and time consuming if you work full time and have cat in apartment who loves to jump on moving parts :) But after 2 weeks and 170 hours of printing this is results. Am very happy with results! :)
Parts are not glued together just assembled and connected with clips. I will definitely use some epoxy to make ti much closer and better like one peace. Model is downloaded from Thingiverse and I recommend that you use Windows 3D builder to fix some parts first before printing! It has automatic 3D model fix. Just save it and re-open it in CURA.
Some parts like skull,neck,arms,ribs and feet's are printed in 0.1mm resolution to give model higher details and rest of parts are printed in 0.2mm. Everybody ask me about settings I use but to be honest I changing settings on every 3D model I printed so I can share just my standard settings.
I recommending to keep it slow under 50mm/s for better quality. I also using advanced settings in cura 2.3.1 and I change parameters there as well to keep up with my needs.
I will definitely made video about more updates,setting and tips about this printing but my full-time job and studying at the same time don't leave my to much free time.
