This is a presentation I made in Monterey in 2017 during my 2018 Congressional campaign effort. it's the most important presentation I have made in over fifty years of eco-activism.
It is also the most essential climate action video for anyone to watch at this point.
Because of the impending civilization-crushing events from rapid polar ice sheet collapse in West Antarctica and Greenland and resulting 43-feet of rapid sea level rise over the next few decades, dealing with the crisis on this level attends to every other climate concern.
This is the only debate we need to have.
As I type this, just hours ago AP published about how Earth's atmosphere has now increased 50% above preindustrial levels and the highs of the last 2.5 million years.
If you are a climate activist and you are not presenting this material, its call to action, and engaging in electoral revolution to oust plutocratic pols from Congress, you are wasting time.
It's already too late to stop this collapse. Since my talk, scientists now refer to the Doomsday Glacier that I discuss in this talk. Sorry! No bullet trains up our coasts!
