Andy Burnham has been dubbed the UK's "first TikTok PM". Since taking office on 20 July, the new Labour leader has appeared on multiple social media channels run by creators with large followings, as well as putting out a near-continuous stream of videos on his own accounts.

Burnham has won praise for his fluent, natural style on camera, but some have accused him of focusing on “cheap gimmicks” and “cringe videos” instead of policy.
