Setting up Android SDK components in Windows with sdkmanager and avdmanager command line tools

Lookup Microsoft.Open.JDK versions
winget search --id Microsoft.OpenJDK.
Install Microsoft.Open.JDK version:
winget install Microsoft.OpenJDK.17
Copy downloaded cmdline-tools files to latest folder:
C:\android-sdk\cmdline-tools\latest
Add bin to System Path variable:
C:\android-sdk\cmdline-tools\latest\bin
Add new System variable for SDK root:
Variable: ANDROID_SDK_ROOT
Value: C:\android-sdk
Install components with sdkmanager:
sdkmanager "platform-tools" "platforms; android-36" "build-tools;36.1.0" "emulator" "system-images;android-36;default;x86_64"
Create virtual device with avdmanager:
avdmanager create avd -n Pixel_7_API_36 -k "system-images;android-36;default;x86_64" --device "pixel_7"
List virtual devices:
avdmanager list avd
Add new folders in C:\android-sdk to system Path variable:
- emulator
- platform-tools
Start emulator:
emulator -avd Pixel_7_API_36

Search api build tools versions:
sdkmanager --list | findstr build-tools;36
Search api system images for Windows:
sdkmanager --list | findstr "android-36" | findstr x86_64
List virtual devices that can be installed:
avdmanager list devices
to use PC keyboard in emulator, update config.ini inside the avd device folder found at user profile/.android/avd/avd name
hw.keyboard = yes
Windows Virtualization may need to be enabled for emulator to work properly
