Short instructions how to remove the radio on a W211 E-Class:

1. Put transmission into Neutral or Drive
2. Pop up the surrounding shifter bezel from underneath and move it a bit back
3. Remove ashtray and unplug it's cable (Squeeze it with two thumbs in the front and it will pop out)
4. Unscrew the two torx screws underneath the middle control panel piece
5. Pull out the control panel (and unplug it's connection!)
6. Unfasten the two torx screws underneath the radio
7. Pull out the radio and unplug the radio antenna cable and main connector (by pushing back the bracket)
