Jetpack Compose has matured into the standard for Android UI development. We are moving to a "Compose First" approach, where we recommend that all Android UI should be built using Compose. From today, all APIs, libraries, tools and guidance will be provided in Compose, while `android.widget` components are entering maintenance mode, meaning they will receive no new features and only critical bug fixes.
