We decided to head back to the mountains of North Carolina for something a little more unusual. For years, the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad operated some of their excursions out of the old Andrews depot. However, the line has since been abandoned. Because of this, the town is now struggling and needed a tourist attraction desperately. The Andrews Valley Rail Tours hope to fix that problem with a railbike tour to the Valley River tunnel (or sometimes known as the Topton tunnel). Since the railbikes have not yet arrived, they are improvising with two speeders and a wooden car.
If you guys have been wanting to ride the Andrews portion of the line, this is your opportunity.
