A new piece by our friend, composer Andrew Trovato.
"The impetus for this piece came from the intention of writing a work for children and other beginner violinists. The rhythm of the melody, four 16th notes followed by two 8th notes, was meant to train the bow arm. Though through the flushing out and developing said material, the piece evolved into a much more challenging work, while still retaining those more or less simplistic original characteristics."

The great Isaac Stern performing in his prime! Here, he played Eugene Ysaye in the 1953 film Tonight We Sing. The pianist is Alexander Zakin. I restored this footage from a decent source I was able to find.
