Lots of chatting with people and some notable story beats in this gaiden chapter. Nothing changes a conversation more than a random talking skeleton wanting to talk with everyone that goes from friendly to "KILL!" on a completely random whim.
To be fair though, this skeleton isn't the one who wants to strike up a conversation. That goes to the skeleton's master, Darius. He wastes no time in telling Jakka some troubling news...slaves from Andaron are being shipped to Darius's homeland of Styxia to be turned into undead thralls. Troubling for sure...if it's true.
The obvious question here...how does Jakka know Darius isn't trying to tell a big fat lie in an attempt to kill him when he least expects it? Best for him to go talk to all his allies and get their opinions first before deciding if he wants to go down to Styxia with Darius.
Among all the conversations Jakka can have, the most important one lies with Angelus. He mentions wanting to return home to see his family which he hasn't seen in quite awhile. If you allow him to leave, he'll be gone for the next few chapters, similar to what Jaheira did back in 16x. This has several benefits to it, enough that I let him go off to check in with his family. Means I don't have an extra turn granter for the next chapter, but no biggie.
When you're done chatting with everyone you want to, you can speak to Darius in the southeast and get some information out of him about his homeland.
In the end though, Jakka feels that if Darius is indeed telling the truth, he's obligated to head down there and do some rescuing of his fellow countrymates. As such, he agrees to tag along with Darius...but he isn't going alone. Tendaris may not get many chances to go out and about when he shifts to full time kingly duties. He is more than welcome to come along if you ask me.
