Ive been reading Interview with the vampire and its SO much different from the movie (its my favorite movie so its hard to love the book so far XD )
but the scene in the book where Lestat's dad is dying is so good.

Lestat's dad is dying and on his death bed Lestat sits and files his nails and mocks him then walks out of the room to play the piano Louis yells at him to get back in there and stop playing the piano while his dad's calling out to him Lestat is like NO THANKS LOL gonna go outside and suck some blood and Louis goes back into the room and pretends to be Lestat as Lestat's blind father who Louis grew fond to apologises to him about burning his books and how he was the most caring out of all his kids but suddenly changed (hinted at he changed after becoming a vampire he didnt get a choice because the vampire who turned him gave Lestat weird angst)
