Today we'll take a walk through the most vibrant and densely populated areas of ancient Rome, as it was in the 4th century.

We'll walk through the Subura, cross the Forum Romanum, enter the Velabrum district, and reach the Forum Boarium and the Tiber River.

We'll begin at the Portico of Livia on the Esquiline. This portico was built by Augustus in honor of his wife, Livia Drusilla.
