Hi, I'm Mark Wood, Composer and Performer for the award-winning film Ancient Lands and Lives - Above the Grand Canyon Rims. I would love to share with you a short video showcasing my music and talk a little about my process.
The Improvisational music was composed and performed by me with my award-winning seven-string viper violin which has the range of a full orchestra experience.
The opening soundtrack is a spontaneous improvisation done in one take. Just watching this incredible footage and story.
Here is a sample of that improvisation: “Ancient Lands and Lives-Above the Grand Canyon Rims”, is an original Docu-Music video that integrates dramatic music and images to tell the story of the Grand Canyon lands, Arizona's unique wildlife interactions and their young (including mountain lions and other predators and prey), its extreme weather conditions and the sacred indigenous tribal presence.
Improvisational music was composed and performed by me with my award-winning seven-string viper violin which has the range of a full orchestra experience. My orchestral music is also featured.
Each film chapter of this Docu-Music video has a powerful impact on a wide range of audiences and a compelling imprint to draw them to visit the Grand Canyon to see it for themselves."
Thank you and Enjoy!
